to open science
We are proud to announce launches of , , , and -- for whom we built a federation of publishing and social networks.
The Open Science Federation is a nonprofit, civil society organization and as we did for ScienceOnline and SciFund, we often work pro bono. OSF provides design, development, hosting, and support for a bevy of sites, blogs, and networks which combined, publish about 10,000 posts annually. For web sites and blogs we work with anyone WordPress or Drupal based and science related, leading to a great variety of efforts.
These include science journalism at its finest, at and science education research such as the project to develop educational games, or a global health project linking researchers and students in Kenya and Seattle, at .  We support a database of science and math songs at and several online projects for the , in which we are a Collaborating Organization. These are just a handful of our public projects. We also build and host secure intranets, private networks and services for researchers and clinicians, and support a variety of open source projects for science. We support and through our federation, help organize the many facets of the Open Science movement.
We are computer scientists, citizen scientists, and scientist-scientists, science writers, journalists, and educators, and makers of and advocates for Open Data, Open Access, and Open Notebooks. Our mission is in short: to open science, and we invite you to join us:
